Official Rokslide Group Buy - Unknown Suppressors OG-6S (CLOSED)

If I’m not mistaken, no one has the 6S yet. They are about to ship it sounds though. US said Capital Armory would receive their 6S order this week. I don’t know how quick they get them in their system and available on their site, but I wouldn’t expect it to take too long.

You asked about SS carrying them, are they able to honor the group buy price or guidefitter price? I wouldn’t think so, but maybe I’m missing a way to use their network with a deal. Otherwise, CA will be the same price as SS.

Perhaps you can elaborate on your question for more ideas to help?
Fair point on pricing. SS already has fingerprints and everything in their system. I assume most use their kiosk. If it was in their system it would at least ship straight to my door.

Agree pricing would be the same though.

My SOT charges $100 NFA transfers, as does everyone else i've called in town. Haven't checked around in a few years though.
I'm not sure if they'll charge me $200 for two cans or just $100 for one transfer of 2 cans. I've been in there often so far this year including a couple cans off their shelf so they might hook me up on that.

They also have a SS kiosk though and I'd love if I could figure out how to do the transfer process for free through the kiosk? anyone have insight on this?

You would have to buy the can from Silencer Shop, then the transfer would be free through the dealer and allow you to use the kiosk.

yea that's what i thought... Oh well. still worth the group buy and if I'm lucky they'll hook me up for a single transfer fee.

In case its not obvious on pricing.

Group buy ships straight from US to your SOT and your SOT charges for a transfer.

Buying from something like SS for "free" transfers just means a discount was given to SS to purchase inventory and adsorb the dealer transfer fee in the advertised price (they pay the dealer) while still making money. You aren't going to be able to double dip and get group buy pricing and "free" transfers from SS or such.

Assuming your dealer doesn't gouge on pricing the group buy saves some money and its available now. If you wait for SS or capital armory, etc. to have inventory with "free" transfers it'll cost a tad more. With many dealers charging $100 for transfers it saves $50. And again its available now for those that know they want the can.

That's pretty much how I see things.

I'd add that from looking at prices over the years, I think the way to get the absolute best deals is to buy something from a dealer over black Friday. Then you avoid the transfer fees and the best black Friday prices can compete with what I've seen for group buys. Some of those buy one get one deals have been solid. But then your limited to whatever model they decided to do the steep discount on and you're waiting for November. If you just want the best deal, don't care on the specific model, and aren't in a hurry; that's the way to go.

One thing I recommend to anyone is to get an etf file of your fingerprints - don't limit yourself to one option.

I started with Silencer Central and sent them my paper fingerprint cards and had them do the direct shipment to me. Worked fine, but a bit slow.

I then switched to Silencer Shop, because they had better selection and a SOT I liked had a kiosk. I drove to his shop and used the machine there for the prints. I used him for several transactions and he was variable about charging me a fee. Sometimes he would charge me nothing, sometimes $50, but he recently raised his rates to $100 and said that is here to stay. And I have to drive an hour each way to get to him.

So, I found another SOT who only charges $25 and is right next to my local rifle range about 25 minutes away. He told me about getting my fingerprints done through PrintScan. It cost me $80, but I now have an ETF file I can send to anyone. So, I sent the file to him and he is my current first choice SOT.

But, when I decided to also sign up for Capitol Armory to sell my Scythe to them for store credit, I already had the file in my email to send it in to them. And, if I ever need the fingerprints again, I'll have the file on hand. It really simplifies things.

I may have missed this (apologies in advance) but is there a contour limit? Would it fit a 20 howa mini bull barrel?

there is also a post from US or one of their associates detailing the actual specs. IIRC and I may not recall correctly ithe actual dimension is around .775, maybe 770 or 780 but there's is some tolerance there to acccount for concentricity of threads/bore etc. so offically its "rated" to fit up to .750 but if your muzzle measures .760 or similar you might sneak it in there if everything is nicely concentric. or not. maybe

It’s rated at 131db with a 18in 6cm. Most tests were less like sub 130 but we like to under promise and over deliver.

And .750 muzzle OD definitely fits and that’s what we advertise but can sneak .770 in there a lot of the time. My barrel is .763 and it fits no problem. It’s .790 technically so what size below that depends on the barrel, machine work, etc. I know Cliff described it better. And they’re tapered to make sure if they fit at the muzzle, they fit over the rest of the barrel too as it gets slightly bigger in OD towards the action.

Thanks. On a short AR it would not go over a .750 gas block then.

Something I can’t figure out on bore diameters and suppressors.

Is a suppressor more or less effective the smaller you go in bullet diameter to the suppressor diameter?
