How do people draw with 0 and 1 point, yet I didn’t draw with 2 points?

For people with 1 point, they got released tags. People check the option to return gen tags if they do not get their LE unit, tag is released and given at random, regardless of points unfortunately.

A certain amount of other general tags are set aside for random at 0 points.

Well would you look at that...Wasnt even paying attention today. Been waiting on NM. Drew a general elk tag with 0 points. The 0 point random draw has been good to me. Struck out on Limited entry but I have an elk tag . Now to just draw NM .

Nice to draw the Combo again. Heading to BC in September for a 2 week Mountain Goat and Moose vacation and then to MT to fill the Elk and Deer tag. Going to be a fun fall!!!

Drew my general tag with the preference points, did not draw the limited entry tag. Didn’t have high hopes, sitting on the line of enough bonus points

I am interested to see how the success rates changed from last year. Could very well be bias of this site but a decent amount of guys striking out with 2 PP.

Just did a gut check - no one under 2 points has drawn a big game combo or gen elk tag in years. Deer is possible with one point.

maybe a deer tag but not a combo unless apps are way way way down or more likely they messed up the draw .

So I drew a combo tag. My buddy who applied the same time as me, has his receipt and confirmation email goes to check his draw results, enters his info and it says he didn’t enter any drawings for 2025.

Guessing he needs to reach out to FWP?

Me and my buddy drew our permit tag with 0 PP AND 1 bonus point. Definitely pumped to be goin back to Montana again. I’ve been on the other side where I had enough points to have high odds of drawing and haven’t. Good luck to those who drew. Feeling for those that didn’t. Especially those with 2 PP.
2 other guys applied as a party for same permit as us with 2 PP and 4 bonus and didn’t draw. But ended up with returned general combo tags
