ThanksJune, I believe.
Nope, released tags are just a mystery.Does anyone know if these odds also include the released tags? Reason I asked is I was awarded a released tag and since I didn’t draw in the first “round” I never made it into the permit draw.

That’s depressing to see the 2 point odds continue to drop. I really thought with the Montana “use or lose” system things would stabilize more. Demand has been pretty steady the past few years IIRC.Here were the updated odds…

If people don’t quit talking about it and explaining the system and how to draw. That’s depressing to see the 2 point odds continue to drop. I really thought with the Montana “use or lose” system things would stabilize more. Demand has been pretty steady the past few years IIRC.
IMO if it wasn’t for the outfitter 2 point deal, 2 points would be much more of a sure thing and point creep would be under control.
good luck. I just got the general.Got a 447-20 for my first elk tag should be a good time.
Going to hunt further west likely. I’ve taken a cow there before, but I’m still on the hunt for my first bull. I only just started to apply for special draws this year, but expect at least 7 or so years before I’ll have any real shot at a great unit.Draw odds are long on that tag for a NR. Curious. are you turning the elk tag back, going to hunt west for an elk or hunting 799 and hoping to fill the elk tag with a spike or cow.
Usually a reasonable amount of time + a month. MT is painful.Roughly how long does it take to get a refund for the tag if you didn’t draw?
Wonderful. I wouldn’t expect anything lessUsually a reasonable amount of time + a month. MT is painful.

Good luck. I was hoping to draw that permit as well with 12 bonus points as a NR, but no dice.Got a 447-20 for my first elk tag should be a good time.
Exactly, our group of 4 all drew last year as well going in with 1.5 with 2 seperate groups. (Obviously trying to not draw and save our points) Each group drawing released tags of course. This would obviously have some impact on the general draw statistics one would this, but they obviously don’t advertise it.My brother and I drew general elk last year at 1.5. Odds say 0%. We got it in the return pool. I was told by MT that those also go by points. If that’s the case it would sure be nice to see the odds including those.
Where’s the ‘26 report found. Curious about Elk-Only Combo.
