Since this corner crossing issue may be getting fixed, is the next fight getting rid of non-res fees for hunting federally managed public lands?

Do state run agencies not also getting federal funding?

They should have a separate lottery for federally managed lands eliminating res and non-res applicants.

Pitch fork me…I don’t care. These fees to hunt are getting sickening.

The state manages the wildlife. With or without a tag you can still access the federally managed land. The “federal funding” in theory is proportional to the amount of license dollars brought in by the state, at least as far as I understand Pittman/Robinson and Dingle/Johnson acts. I am of the opinion the state can and should prioritize the residents of that state when it comes to opportunity to the game animals it is tasked with managing.

Federal land. State animals! State land . All separate issues.

Pittman Robinson, etc are federal taxes on sporting goods. Last I heard was being spent on offices and bonuses for USFWS. Not the intent.

If it is really important- move to the state of your choice. Many of us already have.

Everyone seems to apply for several states?

It isnt enough for a lot of you guys to hunt 1, 2, 3, or 4 states - its bound to happen. Either the costs go up, the odds go down, or both.
