Nikon MHG 10x42 vs other sub alpha

Hello rocksliders, 1st time poster here from British Columbia…

I’ve scoured the pages and read all, mostly decent reviews on the Nikon MHG, can’t find much for recent reviews mainly from the bird forums, but my one remaining question is,

Do they still hold a candle compared to other binos in the $1500 CAD range ie. conquest HD, trinovids, b6 etc?

Side note - I can get these from a local retailer for $1050 CAD brand, nearly $500 cheaper than new conquest or trinovids.

MHG’s are some of the best glass you can get, period.
The $1k (American) category is flooded with great options. Just gotta try them to see what fits your preferences.

Definitely.
my eyes didn’t like the trinovids, wasn’t too keen on the conquest eye cups (a hard to adjust) and it’s a hassle getting mavens north of the border.

Admittedly I haven’t gotten my hands on the MHG yet but I plan to this weekend.

Optically? absolutely.
Warranty and customer service? Mixed bag. I haven’t had to get any Nikons fixed so I can’t say.

Zeiss Conquest HDs are great at that price point but...Im interested in the bigger FOV/viewing angle of Monarchs.

Yeah up here the conquests retail for $1499 and the MHG for $1050.

price point alone, I think the FOV and field flattener give the edge to MHG.
