New UL Tikka stock option

Gotsha....yeah Kimber 84L stocks are roughly 26 oz and 84M run in the neighborhood of 25 oz or so. So if they can finish a Tikka stock in the 22 oz range that would certainly be under standard 84L range indeed. Cool stuff!

It would be especially interesting in a Tikka super lite 300 magnum or something like that since Kimber long action magnums are already nearly a pound heavier that the Tikka superlite magnums.

I have a Tikka .300wsm with a carbon stock that I think is around 20oz.
There is quite a few being made here, and seem to be alot cheaper than the ones you guys get in the US?

SG Gunstocks - Carbon Fibre Stocks - Models

These guys above doing Tikka stocks for around 20 oz and around $600-$700 NZd.

I have not used these guys above but have heard good things. Not sure on my stock, I got it 2nd hand but its bloody light

Stug or sg gunstocks won't sell to the US.

There was one at the Dunedin hunting and fishing store 2 years ago for 500nzd I shoulda bought. Perfect copy of a tikka stock but in carbon.

I just dropped my .270 superlite into a precision defence carbon stock. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but feels like a quality stock. Stiff and very light.

I think the kiwi market has him full to capacity as is.

Fvkkin tikkakoski are everywhere in Nzed. Then again with ur guys exchange ratio how it is nowadays it makes sense. Wouldn't pay a premium for a freedom group Remington.

have you mucked around with a senator stock??

yep the guys here I know making stocks are on a 6-8 month waiting list.
Tikkas are just such good value for money and perfect for the kiwi hunter. Pretty hard to beat.

I have seen a couple but never used in the field.

Im not sure what mine is, bought it 2nd hand.
My main complaint of carbon stocks is that they are 'slippery'
Mine is painted kind of like the roughtech stock, so its very grippy. much better
