Stocky's Stock Finish?

So is something wrong with it or is this just all about looks? I was under the impression those who are going for looks want pretty wood not synthetic. Especially somewhat bargain priced(compared to others) synthetic stocks.

My carbon fiber exposed manners has a better finish. It’s probably my favorite stock pattern I’ve used so far. It also cost twice as much and the inlet was so bad I had to get a friend/gunsmith to fix and bed it for me because it was beyond my dremel and bedding skills. Just part of it. After market things in general often require tweaking and adjusting.

Mine had some rough spots also but I also ordered it as plain carbon with the intention to build up the grip and paint it myself. Looks great now.
