Stocky's Stock Finish?

So is something wrong with it or is this just all about looks? I was under the impression those who are going for looks want pretty wood not synthetic. Especially somewhat bargain priced(compared to others) synthetic stocks.

My carbon fiber exposed manners has a better finish. It’s probably my favorite stock pattern I’ve used so far. It also cost twice as much and the inlet was so bad I had to get a friend/gunsmith to fix and bed it for me because it was beyond my dremel and bedding skills. Just part of it. After market things in general often require tweaking and adjusting.

Mine had some rough spots also but I also ordered it as plain carbon with the intention to build up the grip and paint it myself. Looks great now.

How well does your tikka shoot? Im looking at buying a stockys for my tx3.

I bought a blemished Hunter model for a lefty Tikka back in August and it didn’t look too bad. I used metal patio furniture for the base and then a 3 color sponge job finished with a couple coats of clear. I like it much better than the bare carbon look.

That sponge job looks great!

I just bought a "blemished"/second during the Black Friday sale.

I don't want to rub any salt, but mine is in better shape cosmetically than your full price quality-controlled and approved stock.

There is a little "play" in the fitment of my action. I haven't shot it yet, but depending on how it shoots, may or may not bed it.

I am going to paint it regardless, so the extremely minor cosmetic blemishes that I do have will be covered up anyway.
