Were they able to provide a more accurate timeline for when these should be hitting the shelves?
So eurooptics told me 2-3 months but it could be sooner. Since I’m only the second person in the queue for what I want it might be on the sooner side. Said they were expecting to get some by end of next month which is when seekins said they were gonna start rolling out per email correspondence. But then speaking to a scheels employee they said it could be the end of summer. I think it depends on the retailer. I just decided I should do a preorder that way I’m not fighting for the rifle on the shelves

I have been looking at the element for awhile now, glad I waited! I want a 7prc which is a long action. If I wanted to switch barrels and bolt head to a short action caliber would it work, or feed properly? just curious.
Not sure if the long and short actions are interchangeable. All I know is I like the interchangeable barrel for when/if I wanna get a proof carbon fiber barrel

Welp….. I bought the bullet and reached out to eurooptics and got my ph3 preordered. Only the second person in line for the 6.5 prc 20” barrel in woodland shadow! Now…..how do I hide this from the girlfriend after promising not to buy anything during January?
ordered vs. bought...seems pretty cut and dry on that one. Plus she is your g.f. not your mom.

Am I missing it….folks are dogging on the weight but we don’t even know what the weight is yet. He said maybe 1/2lb….but then you cut down 4” of barrel for likely 4-6oz.

Regardless if YOU use the mlok and/or riser if it ends up being .25lb more it will likely be a win for the MAJORITY of folks who buy the rifle….which is who a company for profit is marketing to.

I agree if it’s 1lb or something more for the average person it won’t be worth it. But for a few ounces it won’t hurt much.

This isn’t a custom rifle…..it’s meant for masses.

He said about 1/2 lb for the chassis and mlok. Then there's the cheek piece. I bet it's going to end up 3/4 - 1lb. There's a reason they haven't just directly said the weight.

He posted on the Seekins facebook group and reiterated that’s 8ish oz total. That weight will vary because of the barrel - 300 PRC has a bigger hole in it than a 6mm Creed.

I too ordered the PH3 euro optic. My hope is the weight ends up at just over 7lbs (current PH2 is 6.9 in short action). Add 8oz for the chassis and cheek piece, subtract a few ounces going from a 24" barrel to 20" barrel.

I had the same thought process @6.5284 Guy
Agree as well. Only issue is I’ll be adding weight back with a can since I went with the 20”

Yeah good point. My thinking is that eventually the hunter chassis will be available as a stand alone part and that will be an option to bring weight down

I got a 6.5 PRC. I already have a sig cross with 6.5cm and 6mm cm barrels. My goal with this rifle is short action magnum cartridges. Surely someone will come out with a modern, magnum bolt face, short action 7mm soon. Something like what the .284 Win was supposed to be.
I really like the option to switch barrels out and play with different cartridges.

The modality of it is what sold me. Yeah it might not initially be light but as I play with it and find the things I like, I can make it lighter and more tailored to what I want

Shot a fallow at a ranch using a proof 6.5 prc and that sold me on the cartridge.

Curious to see if these new actions address the obnoxious bolt bind of their predecessors. I love the innovation in the action, and want to want one. But if I have to put my thumb on the back of the bolt to throw it home, none of that matters.

Well Seekins caught me in a buying mood. I checked out the new guns at the Sheep Show. They really are nice. Some guys from Scheels was in the booth so I ordered an Element Hunter in 6CM from them. $3200, no tax, free shipping to my FFL, and Scheels is adding a $320 gift card. And the Seekins guys gave me a couple really nice little gear bags for ammo and stuff.

They said they’ll start shipping in February and will likely start with the HIT models, then the Element Hunters. So it could be a month but it could be 3-6 months. Guess we’ll see.

Any details on the weights of the various models?

Sorry I didn’t ask about the various weights. I know on the Hunter it’s in the mid 5 pound range, as it’s essentially the same gun as a Havak Slam which is listed in the low 5s. I know they were both damn light. But I didn’t dig too much into the fixed stock models. I fondled them but didn’t ask weights.
