Scheels had a couple PH3s I was able to get my hands on the other day, nice rifle, noticeably heavier than the PH2, but still in the sweet spot I would say.

Glen Seekins moderates a Seekins Group on Facebook that is a great join if you are a Seekins owner. He's addressed this there, I can't remember the specifics I think I recall him saying it would fit on the existing Element, the new M3 Element, and the new Ph3 (but not the PH2) but I may be wrong.Came across the ability to back order the new element hunter chassis… I wonder if it will fit a ph2?
I got an email back today from Seekins. Confirmed, it will not fit the ph2. Womp womp.Glen Seekins moderates a Seekins Group on Facebook that is a great join if you are a Seekins owner. They said that months ago. Pretty lame really. It would have been cool if the older models could use the newer stocks.I got an email back today from Seekins. Confirmed, it will not fit the ph2. Womp womp.
Still wondering on a weight for the Element short actionDoes anybody have a weight on the Element short action yet? I'm a huge Seekins guy, and plan to shoot them for the rest of my life. However, this reluctance to post the weight is getting ridiculous! Tells me they realize too late that they screwed up with some of the things they added.
No more groups, life has been busy. Absolutely zero regrets buying the PH3...awesome rifle. Being able to swap is awesome! I will be turning my 6.5 PRC into a 6 creed (for certain hunts) when the parts become availible. Now you don't have to buy another scope, rings, rails, etc. Swap your barrel, bolt head, mag and go.@TheViking @sveltri - are you all still enjoying your PH3s? Any more groups? Inquiring minds are very curious. By that I mean myself. Thinking about ditching a couple hunting rifles for one to be able to use with the barrel swap functionality.
Will definitely be the next rifle I buy!No more groups, life has been busy. Absolutely zero regrets buying the PH3...awesome rifle. Being able to swap is awesome! I cleaned it up real good and oiled it after my first trip to the range. That bolt is so smooth. It compares to a Tikka, but without the slop. I'm a Tikka fanboy, so the high praise doesn't come easy from me.
Nothing new for now. I’ll start load dev after my bear hunt, but I love the rifle.@TheViking @sveltri - are you all still enjoying your PH3s? Any more groups? Inquiring minds are very curious. Had the same Q on a 280AI, and the answer seems to be yes. After a couple of calls with Seekins. For their Long Action, magnum cartridges the bolt head measures 0.537. To convert to 280 AI, would need to replace the magnum bolt head of 0.537” with a standard bold head face and a 280 AI barrel. 280 AI bolt face is 0.473” and standard is 0.471”.I feel you there. Planning to call and see what it would take to get one chambered in 280ai, or if its even a possibility. If it's not less than or easier than a weatherby 307 alpine mdt carbon, well... My dinero will be headed to Wyoming rather than Idaho...
I called, they said they would do it, but that it be about a year out. I need to save a few more frog skins, so I'm in no rush. If the 7mm backcountry flops, maybe the 280ai will be the factory replacement. The case dimensions are stupid close. Both are long action with a .473 bolt face, so all they would need to do is use a 280ai reamer.Had the same Q on a 280AI, and the answer seems to be yes. After a couple of calls with Seekins. They believe it would work fine. But that is something to double assess.
Yes, I’ve basically landed at a similar thought pattern as you. Not in a rush, plus have a 280AI that is working well. At this point, I’m planning on getting a 6.5prc in either the PH3 or the Element Hunter. Just waiting for the EH to hit the market.I called, they said they would do it, but that it be about a year out. I need to save a few more frog skins, so I'm in no rush. FYI - I heard end of May, early June timeframe for the first batch to be done but that could change so I would not count on it.
No issues with the palm swell grip being thick? The browning I tried a month ago was a little large for my large hands, maybe I am being a bit picky....Handled a PH3 NRL model at a Scheels. 24" barrel in 6.5 Creedmoor. Even with no lube on the action it was awesome. The machining was excellent. The weight was good.
It will be my next rifle.
No issues that I remember. Everything felt neutral to be honestNo issues with the palm swell grip being thick? The browning I tried a month ago was a little large for my large hands, maybe I am being a bit picky....
Wasn't sure that I would like the palm swell as I have small hands. Well, I love it now and it's a non-issue and has improved shooting grip. Works well free had as well. Get one in hand if you can, but it's not a bug, it's a feature. No issues with the palm swell grip being thick?
