It'll be interesting if they can still maintain their current price point. If they start creeping up, there's no way I'm buying a RA over a Tikka for $700-800 after owning both.

Exactly what I told my buddy. We have each had multiple American predators. I saw msrp was listed at $729 and I told him I’d just buy a tikka for that.

I was thinking about building a .22 ARC, but it looks like I may just wait for this one to come out in that chambering. It will sit right next to my RA in 6.5 Grendel.

Does anyone know if the action the same footprint? Wondering if it’ll fit in the “gen 1” aftermarket American stocks

What stocks? Lol

In all seriousness I highly doubt they changed the action. That v block bedding system is a great system. Such a great system that no aftermarket stock improves accuracy over factory according to a test done with everything available out there.

I forgot B&C made a stock for RA. I like verticle grips which is probably why. I know Stockys has one coming soon.

Im a huge tikka fan but for the price it looks pretty legit. The most comparable Tikka would be the roughtech and those go for around 1000 so with knowing Ruger Americans have a reputation for great accuracy I think it will be a great rifle.

I just bought a RR in 556 last week. Had no idea a gen 2 is coming out. But I only paid $429 total. I own a couple LWRC ARs so I dig the fluted barrel. Prices may be a bit high on initial launch but prob come down to the low 500s shortly after.

Don't know if its been posted. But Ruger has updated the ol' American rifle.

Looks fancy, hopefully shoots as good as the old ones. I know they get a lot of hate, but I have 4 of them in various calibers and man if they aren't accurate as hell. All of mine shoot sub-MOA easily, usually half that.

It’d look better with straight flutes instead of the spiral. Wild guess, but I bet they will also do a flush fit version.
