Yea I would buy one immediately. I should just get a 6.5 and do a barrel swap but would rather get one factory.

Their 243 is 1:8 twist, so if you reload you can have a wider range of options on the high end.

I’d buy the gun you really want. Most rifles for wives and girlfriends are shot 99.9% of the time by the dude, until the average 7 year relationship changes up partners. A $200 wood stocked savage 243 kept just for the fairer sex is my vote. Carve your name in the stock so she won’t want it if you break up.

T3X with an add on riser or just doing a KRG bravo will work. Sterk bolt handle is a nice addition. 223 is plenty for all NA game if using 77 TMK inside reasonable distance. Cheaper to practice with too for a novice. It’s a proven load as told by the thread here.

Well, on average, 243 factory ammo is 25-50% cheaper than 6mm Creedmoor ammo. And you could always get the 243 and then re-barrel to 6mm Creedmoor once the barrel is shot out.
