Mine will never see my list, but I may start having my gear shipped to my work. She always gets my packages before I get home!!

My wife is getting stuff too. I am buying her a Bear Motive 6 in AP Snow Camo as an upgrade over her Diamond Razor's Edge, a scope for her Jay Frazier Mexican Mauser in 6.5X55(VX3- in 2X8) and
Mountain Hardware Nilas Jacket and Poseidon shell for her too. She already has her stuff picked out.

Sincerely,
Thomas

x1000% you constantly evolve, that means your gear does too, that means your wallet opens constantly also

Wallet never seems to close... At least this thread makes me feel better and I'm not alone with the spending habits. I'm just getting into backpack hunting and keep telling myself what else can there be left to buy and sure enough, the list never ends.

I am to a point where I have pretty much everything I need... Took me a few years to get there, but now that I am there my money will go towards hunts and replacing odds and ends as needed!

My biggest upgrade for this season is contact lenses. It will rock to be able to actually see in the rain this year (it's always raining in AK). I am 2 months in on the daily wear version and hoping to move over to extended wear that can be worn for 2-4 weeks around the clock before hinting season. One day I will just pony up for LASIK.

I had my heart set on Hanwag AK GTX boots but it sounds as if there are distribution/support issues in that realm and that the manufacturer may not take its hunting customer base seriously. Now I am back to the drawing board without an ideal choice. I like the height of the Lowa GTX Extreme but don't care for insulation in my boots. The Tibets don't have the insulation (good) but are shorter (bad?).

At least I should be good to go for sheep this year with my Koflach Degre plastics. All I really need for that hunt is a set of Barney's Glacier Socks and to hand over the rest of the cash to the charter pilot.

^^^^ LASIK^^^^

Is the best investment I have ever made. I've had 20/15 vision and no contacts, glasses, eye infections, etc. since 2008.

I would love to invest in a new set of boots this summer and a DT3 with Bikini Frame. However, with a little one due in August and
kitchen to remodel, life is getting in the way.

I ended up getting an eye infection on the drive up this fall and had to wear my glasses for most of the hunt. I did try something new this year and actually killed something at least! I will say that sure adds a bunch of weight to the old pack!

This is embarrassing, but this is what I can think of now:
Super down coat
Tiburon tops and pants
Kuiu merino wool gloves
kuiu fleece 1/4 zip
kryptek Helios top
Cedric top
Alaios pants
Valhalla pants
Sat phone 7595
Archery: New Breed Eclipse and all the accessories and I mean all
Leopold 1000TBR with dni
Zamberlan Vioz boots (just got them last week)

I'm sure I'm missing something. The archery changeover really messed with my gear budget.
