Very interesting, with a hydration bladder, how does the tube exit the High Camp bag?

Well I've been debating on my next pack and I think you just made my mind up. Looks like a great pack, very versatile. Good design! Any Rokslide discounts in the future?

Haha, I think that is about as likely as getting a discount on a Lamborghini :)

Until competition drives demand down I don't see any discounts on packs for a while. KUIU, Kifaru, MR, & Stone Glacier all seem to be hanging around the magical $600+ price marker. We need new blood to come in at $400 and be an actual competitor! : ) Guy can dream right? : )

Based on everyone else's pricing, new blood wouldn't be in the game long at $400 because they would be losing money. I think all the companies being around that $600 mark tells you where the margin is located.

Trust , there is lots of competition. The prices reflect the cost of American labor and materials combined with smaller volume. Most of these companies are very small , some just one guy working from home. If competition gets any heavier the most likely thing to go will be customization and quality. If you look at Kifaru , they are about as big as it gets for top end American made goods and there is only a handful of people in the office. I think everyone who orders talks to Angie , Aron , or Mel and I think there may be another person in the office. Finding people who can sew at the level expected can't be easy so they are not going to be cheap. If you want high quality and American made it's not going to be cheap. There is at least one company that some consider to be high end but make their goods in China and Vietnam that I wonder at the price they charge.

Some pretty good info for potential buyers or those waiting impatiently...

All three packs have 26" composite stays, small hip belts, Multicam hip belts & bags, and standard lids.

This is the Timberline 1.

This is the standard Bikini frame with the duplex Timberline 1 bag. (Unmolested for the time being, but soon to be trimmed up and down around 5 lbs. 12 ounces) :)

From another thread...

I forgot to mention. My T1 is heavily modified. I trimmed the snow collar and a bunch of other stuff. It should normally weigh in at around 5 lbs. 8 ounces.

The advantage of the Bikini is that it's basically the same weight as the standard Timberline suspension (keep in mind that by adding camo to the Bikini frame adds 3 ounces alone) but you get the benefit of an external frame. If I was to have bought the black Bikini and I trimmed my DT1 bag like my T1, the combo would weigh roughly 5 lbs. 9 ounces.

The external frame of the Bikini handles heavy weight better than the internal framed Timberline. I have done quite a bit of testing. The nice thing is that you are giving nothing up to go this route. The pack compresses down just as small, is just a maneuverable, seems even more comfortable with a 20-40 lb. load, ect.

With regards to the straps on the Highcamp. You don't have to attach them like that. I don't even know if that's how it was designed.

So which one are you going to sell? ;) Just curious as to why you got one standard bikini frame and one flat back bikini frame? Will you be keeping both?

5'7" and FAT! I think I have but 15 on since my Ibex hunt and have done nothing, tell this week. They are 26" I just have my spotter tripod, two big cheap sleeping bags in the bag, and a heavier pant in the lid. It was just a quick stuff for pics
