I've been wearing the pants to work a good bit and got them out this weekend for about 3 days (evening, full day, morning) and 10 miles (mostly on trail) with the off-trail stuff being mostly alpine and a little blowdown. Didn't really beat them up much.
I will say my (3) pairs of FL Corrugate pants and (2) pairs of Kuiu Tiburons have pilling from a lot of use, but it's not a durability concern as far as I can tell. One tear in a pair of Tiburons from snagging blowdown that tenacious tape has held together fine. The stretch in the Corrugates has allowed them to absorb the same contact and resist tearing. So if they start pilling I won't be terribly concerned and with similar/more stretch compared to the Corrugates I imagine they'll absorb potential snags similarly.
They are definitely a "hot weather" pant for me. It was overcast, slightly breezy and in the 60's and I had to put the puffy pants on while static. Hiked in them while it was in the 50'-60's and they were great for activity in those temps. Kinda doubt they'll make the trip to MT in November though.
Very happy with the design. Circumference around the boot/calves is the best of any pant I own with plenty of room in the thighs/rear still. Stretch was perfect for making some big step ups on big rocks. I'm going to keep using this pair, but early indication is I'll buy a pair in each color.
