I ordered one today and am looking forward to using it in conjunction with my Rambler. It might be overkill but I plan on using it to secure a bow with a little more protection than the Grabit. Am I wrong to assume this would work?

BTW...I'm fighting strep too. Last week it was a sinus infection & the week before the stomach flu. I keep thinking it can't get much worse, but my wife has has two stains of stomach flu in the last three weeks with strep in between.

Would you still be able to use the lower attachment points for the Rambler's load sling or would you have to use the upper attachment points on the frame? I run a duplex.

Aron, I saw the picture you posted on FB with the cargo panel, a couple pockets & the Guide lid. How does one go about attaching the guide lid to the frame when using the cargo panel alone?

I'm actually looking forward to getting this more than the Rambler that will be coming Wednesday.

I swapped the weight bag between the Cargo Panel and the Mountain Warrior. They both carried the same, so I'm not sure what you actually got to try.

I would love a scabbard as well. Maybe with a 3 bar slider or the attachments like the medium side pockets (depending on the design). Also want to put a plug in for the cargo panel. I have the old style and it is awesome. I'm sure the new one is even better. You can configure them however you want with pockets and back pouches. When you have a load in it the side and too compression straps, along with the bottom attachment make it so there is hardly any movement in the load. I've been using a 45-50# bag of birdseed for training and it is solid.

Guide Lid Attachment - Another Option?

Not wanting to piss on Aron's parade because he's forgotten a lot more about this stuff than I will ever know, but I came up with an alternative for mounting the Guide Lid on a Cargo Panel for those that don't want to cut anything off their lid. I had some extra webbing laying around so I threaded it through the three-bar sliders used to adjust the load-lifters on the frame. I just loosed the straps and ran it between the two adjustment webbings. I haven't cut it to length yet, but will probably have it run through the sliders about an inch and the lid ladder-locks by about six inches. I'll probably just leave them on and tie off the long ends someplace on frame when I'm not using the lid or using it with a regular bag.

I'm looking forward to this set-up...probably order a camp bag too.

I like the idea of this panel and no bag. I'm having trouble visualizing how I'd run a bladder in there though. Any ideas? Not interested in adding anything extra like a bladder sleave, trying to go a light as possible.

Kuiu has a bladder sleeve that is like 1oz and cheap. Just a thought even though that's what you said you didn't want to do. Ha.

Anyone know if a vortex viper 65 and a summit ss tripod will fit together in a long pocket? Medium probably not im guessing but large should be ok? I am really thinking about this type of set up.
