Good question and this is one other thing I noticed. The sod skirt is very minimal and it is difficult to get the tent sealed to the ground and keep out drafts. I would suggest a wider skirt in future versions.

But, yes a skirt is there.

I have to agree with this. I wish it was a 6"(That's what she said?); personally. 3" is difficult to work with in uneven terrain. We hunt in the Frank, and finding a flat area can be tough at times. We used our goat packs around the base, on the inside of the tens, to prevent a draft where the ground was slightly higher. Is it a huge deal? No, but I could see where it would be more convenient. Most hunting and use is during colder months, and a draft could be a complication compared to warmer months when you would want a draft. I could be wrong, though. Even knowing the issue, I have zero regrets aboutd our tent.

I have run it with the Argali Skyline Ti Titanium stove. It puts off plenty of heat to warm up the entire tent. It is also nice that you only need an 8ft stove pipe for the tent!

Same, and in 20-degree temps, we could get it warm enough to dry clothes out. Get yourself a Silky saw; you won't regret it.

We used a backpacking clothesline from pole to pole to hang clothes and dry out. Even in a winter storm at 9k, had no issues with the poles. I did notice there are plenty of external guy lines in the event of a windy day; you tie off the mid-tent, as well as tie off the top points. The only place I could see wind being an issue is open terrain, but point the side of the tent into the wind, and I think you'll be ok.

The tent is 10/10. 4 guys, stove, packs for goats, wood and a pup. No issues.

I do have a 1/3rd insert sample, but we won't have a production run here before spring bear season. Because of the 2P pole system, the insert needs to end where one of the poles sits, which means it covers about 1/3rd of the tent and sleeps 2 people very comfortably and possibly 3.
