Hey all. I need some help with my weird feet with a small heel and normal/slightly wide forefoot. I used the old Salomon Quests but they've changed the last in the newer series boots and they are way too narrow. For later season the Crispi Briksdal fit but they are way overkill for early season. I've been running through boots without luck to find an early season option that I can take with me to hike a couple of 14ers in a few weeks and use for ruck training. So far I've tried:

- Salewa Pedroc Pro Mid
- Zamberlan Devero Mid
- Salomon X Ultra
- Merrell Moab 3
- La Sportiva Ultra Raptor II
- Merrell Speed Strike 2 (this was by far the closest fit but not quite there)

I also have a pair of La Sportiva TX Hike Mid on the way. Most of these feel good in the heel and are too tight in the mid and forefoot.

Does anyone have suggestions?

We have similar feet. La Sportiva Aequalibrium are fitting me well. Toe box is wide for a mountain boot but not wide by normal standards. My narrow heel doesn’t move at all in them.

Are you using a particular version of the Aequalibrium? I see there's a Trek, Hike, and LT version...

How secure do you feel in your manhood?

Womens shoes often have a narrower heel relative to the rest of the fit. Worth a try if there is any sizing overlap with you.
