My Harvester Evo 300 exploded today. I am in Wyoming on a hunting trip and went out to shoot to verify my zero. I checked to make sure my action screws, scope rings and suppressor were tight. I fired 3 shots and made an adjustment to my scope. On the next shot the suppressor exploded. About 3" of the suppressor remained on the barrel. We looked all over for the other pieces but could not find them in the sage brush. I was stunned and my ears are ringing. I am thankful my friends who were spotting my shots were not injured. Even though the suppressor exploded I did hit the 8" metal target at 200yards. I am shooting a .300WM TC Compass with a 20" barrel. The ammo was off the shelf Hornady 178 ELDMS. I have 5 and 1/2 boxes through the suppressor. I have emailed SilencerCo and will let you know what they have to say.

Sorry for your luck. They should be really helpful. They got my scythe turned around real quick but thats not going to help on your hunt which is why I will be taking my AB elk hunting this year even though its longer and heavier.

I had issues with a TC compass in 308 with baffel strikes in 2 different cans. IMO the barrel profile may not be strong enough to be 100% concentric once you add 1lb hanging off of it. Can’t explain it but it happened. Hope you can still hunt without the can.

It’s just what SilencerCo cans do. I believe that is three different models that have failed like that?
