Some of you may remember my unplanned day of chaos from Fall 2023.. got my rug back from the taxidermist earlier this month. He did an outstanding job on it, felt liner was hand stitched. Measured just under 6 feet with a very fluffy coat and a big ol pumpkin head. Thankful for the memories from that day.

Nice bear rug! I also had my first black bear taxidermied into a rug, with the mouth open as I requested. I mounted mine on the wall in my stairway to protect it from traffic on the floor.

I’m going to have to wall mount eventually, thankfully I had hanging loops included on the liner.

Dang! That was a fun story. I gotta get up to SE Alaska...
You do any hunting targeting them now or just if you happen to come across one?

Looks awesome!!!

Nice bear, but for the life of me I don't understand why taxidermists always seem to do an open mouth. Not very realistic imo.
I think that an open mouth bear form is cheaper and more readily available than a closed mouth form.

I killed a bear that had a couple broken and missing teeth and I had my taxi replicate that on my rug. Just wish they would do a little more airbrushing to give the teeth a little more realistic coloring. Neither of the bears I killed brushed or flossed.
