Hello to all,
I am an adult onset hunter living in Lower California who began my career hunting in Colorado in the early 2000s in my 30s. Then I got a divorce, my hunting partner died and I moved back to California to be close to family. Nursing school and care giving for parents took over my world for the next 12 yrs. Now life has changed again and I find myself back in a place I can focus on hunting again. I didn't get in for regular draw this year but I have OTC deer, bear, and a pig tag. I did put in for a SHARE hunt (actually, I put in for all the SHARE hunts) and I drew a Roosevelts Elk in Siskiyou County.
I have been gleaning info on quality affordable optics and boots and firearms from this forum. I appreciate all the thoughtful answers and can't wait to interact more with all of you.
