MTN OPS lead concerns

the supplement industry is huge. no single company makes "the best" of each product.

also you need to decide what you want and sometimes we v don't know what we want.. even if we think we do.

most of us also don't need all the supplements the supplement companies want us to take. they're out to make a dollar and they'll gladly take all your dollars

My buddy had the high elevation supplements...but then I read one main ingredient was Ginko Biloba- known for some nasty, even life threatening side effects

Ginko Biloba research here

I don't know about lead content in Mountain ops.

I can tell you that a good buddy used to own a supplement nutrition company that made Muscle Milk. [they sold it to Hormel years ago]

They had scientists on staff that tested every batch of protein and ingredients for purity- THIS IS A NECESSITY!!! Heavy metals can get concentrated in these ingredients.

They got plenty of batches of ingredients they had to reject due to impurities. [some horror stories on that many years ago]

I would not consume a supplement without knowing they have a staff of scientists testing or their ingredients are independent lab tested for purity.

Yea but then you end with a scientist like Fauci, says its safe, and ends up killing yea. Best to stay away.

I replied to this thread in 2020 and said I have taken the Enduro which is the NOS supplement without caffeine. I also stated that my working and peak HR was much lower on the days that I took the Enduro based upon both a Fitbit and a Garmin Fenix 5X fitness watch. So I ask yet again what is a better pre workout that doesn't have a stimulant involved?
I’m a huge fan of 1st phorm, they have great staff willing to help and huge facility where tons of testing happens, plus I’m a big fan of Andy. If you emailed them and discussed your concerns, they’d get you real world data promptly with suggestions. I’ve received some stuff from them to test. Problem is I’m addicted to mtn ops ignite(my only daily vise). And the ignite seems to mess with certain other products.

There is a slew of other companies that offer the same if not better supplementation and if you're concerned about heavy metals there is also some blends out that help your body remove said heavy metals. It can be difficult to find sometimes but try to stay away from "propriety blends" that's code for "all of our shit is mixed with everyone else's"

I saw the MTN Ops booth at an outdoor expo in Denver a few years ago. The dudes working the booth told me everything I need to know about MTN Ops and I vowed to never spend my money on their products. They reminded me of the early 2000’s “bros” in California that sported the flat bills with ears tucked, SRH socks, and Metal Mulisha stickers on their lifted 2wd pickups, but the hunting version.

No clue there, a higher heart rate is what I'm chasing in a work out. I enjoy a stiff dose of caffeine. But I'd bet if you go to a locally owned supplement store and ask them they'd hook you up.

I get my stimulant from my coffee. I don’t need extra caffeine and some of these have unhealthy levels of caffeine. Then citrulline and Arginine dilates the arteries to allow more blood flow which gives more blood flow which allows more oxygen to the muscles so we can do more work. I have no idea what you are talking about regarding tingle and frankly don’t care about the pump. It also helps your heart but adding these extra stimulants aren’t healthy for your heart.

I would like to try some ignite just for some flavoring.
Well im asking so maybe I can be somewhat helpful.
L citrulline helps with the blood flow and pump, beta alinine is what gives the tingle every one loves or hates and give you a little more capacity on the top end.
Caffeine is good and bad and a lot of the depends on you personally.
What I do is mix my own because I don’t want the extra trash and the stuff I do want is typically so under dosed it’s not even effective.
5-8 grams of BA
8-10 L cit/mal
5 grams creatine
3 grams of redmon salt
200mg caffine pill depending on situation
Works for me and way cheaper then buying some proprietary blend.
Hope some of that is helpful.

Random addition to this thread:
I am in market for a new bino harness. Mtn ops has one that’s made by marsupial. It’s cool, but I didn’t even know they made food supplements. So I decided to check out the company. I see before I get to look at a supplement that the company is faith based. Ok sounding good to me.

Then I peek into the nutrition and see all sorts of stuff in the ingredients folks don’t need to injest. Fake sugars, chemical vitamins, and toxic oils.

Most often a supplement is not the correct approach. You can get all the nutrition you need from whole food sources (meat, eggs, nuts, cheese, flours, etc.).
