Great group of guys! I appreciate everyone coming out! Nearly 12 hrs of shooting, hiking, and talking trash is good for the soul.

I’ll take some screen grabs so we can all witness our poor choices in positioning.

We made it through 13 stations.

Had a great time and learned a lot for my first time doing anything like this on the clock with everyone watching.

Fun course and always throwing in a little surprise and some fun shots!

The famous words of Ricky-Bobby "If you ain't first your last" have never rang truer.

Where else can you show up get someone to show you how to change barrels on your Tikka and load rounds into the wee hours the night before a shoot?

There was some great (and apparently less than great) shooting, plenty of shit talking by the internet's best and some amazing food.

Thanks for letting me tag along, hope I make the cut next year and next time I'll even try and orient the scope properly.

Take aways.. Don’t buy a Seekins,..sorry man.
Even “known” setups need zero checked, I might have to learn how to bed a rifle.

Everyone shooting suppressed is amazing. From 10 yards behind the shooters, cartridge seems to make the biggest difference in perceived loudness vs what can was actually being used. From 300 yards away I could tell when the magnum cartridge was being shot, other wise steel impact was way louder than shots. We did notice differences in tone, arguably as much or more than sound level, at least to my ear.

Easy to tell the guys hunt w the gear they brought, not a ton of fumbling around. Also easy to tell everyone was used to building improvised shooting positions, it was interesting to watch.

I shelved a Tikka 6CM/ RS/Maven after the dot test, lost zero totally out of the dot, was zeroed and lightly dropped tested previously. Not sure if it needs bedded or what.

Seekins Element became non functional on stage 2, .308 Master Sporter jumped in to cover for it.

Springfield waypoint crapped out on stage 13, bolt gummed up- light strikes. Was able to resolve this morning.

MRC bounced an empty off the scope elevation turret and backwards into action which I promptly jammed a fresh round into, but was able to clear quickly.

No drama from Tikka actions.

Lots of different suppressors, no issues.

6arc is stupid fun to shoot.

The RS lite is REALLY, REALLY nice to get behind. Marked improvement in off hand stability vs other stocks . Mine need to get here already.

Was there 10 different suppressors? I didn't notice if there were duplicates but yeah, hardly notice the difference between them. The specs on a suppressor are way more important in my purchasing decision than decibels. Length and weight will get my money.

No apologies necessary. I don’t have any brand loyalty, just use what works until it doesn’t then pivot, glad it happened there and not on the mountain. The 308 was a beast and saved my day. Thanks again.

I felt there was minimal difference between cans on like cartridges.

Personally I did notice the PRCs increase in report. As did I notice the 223/ARC decrease in report from the standard faced cartridges (mostly creedmoor variants).

This isn’t surprising obviously, but noticeable.

Oh ya. And we had a Scythe out there that held together

+scopes work better when you don’t get yourself a rev off! Mental reminder to actually USE the zerostop as a reference point.

Left 3-4 hits on the table till sun baked brain clicked together wtf was going on.
