Money Saving Tips / Ideas

Daily 4 or 6 packs of IPA really add up.

Thats no shit lol. There for a while I got in the habit of hitting the hot plate for breakfast. Taco truck twice a day and pick up some beer on the way home. Pretty easy to spend $50+ a day on that stuff

Cell phone companies don’t do discount plans out of the kindness of their hearts. They’ll have different data plans, lower the users priority during high traffic times, etc. If you don’t know that your phone can do more than just make a phone call, then cricket wireless is probably a great option!

Stop impulse buying. If you go for a pair of boots, don't comeback with boots, and pants, shirt, coat, knife, jerky, and a bag of candy.

Be careful with “payroll deduction.”

I see people at work all the time just go crazy when we have vendors come in. They can “payroll deduct” so they think that they aren’t really spending money. I heard one colleague tell me she had $7k racked up on payroll deduction.

Only thing I use it for is the cafeteria. I’ve spent $17.68 this year.

Some great ideas posted. Might have to give some of them a try.

Something I’ve focused on the last 8 years is to get compensation for what I would categorize as my hobbies. I would say at this point of my life the vast majority of the time I’m making money while having fun. Guiding, looking for antlers, horse trading work etc.

I’ve never spent a dime I’ve made at my actual job on a hobby since I’ve had a family. Just can’t do it. That money is for them. I don’t have any fancy stuff but damn have I’ve done A LOT of hunting and spent time outdoors!

Buy used electronics on Swappa, electronics such as phones/computers don't really degrade much and if anything will only need a couple bucks worth of repairs over the thousands you'd pay for brand new.
