Could you post a picture. I’m looking for the 6.75 inch length that’s tight to the rail.

Website shows the 419 flush but states 8 inches which seems incorrect.

Also would love to see the action length Talley

Thanks!

Area 419 milled to 0 moa, then eyeball filed both ends to clear 1” 3-9x40’s (I used a accupoint and prolly some 1” Leupolds up to have swap options) in old school weaver 1” low ring which gives scope height 1.5” or just under, for those that like thing low. Sharpie to touch up the precision filing work. 😉

You’re seeing a 2.5x on it in the pic but this setup allows Max mounting options on factory stock. It’s about same height as Talley x-low or hair’s lower but way tougher.

Oh found when I fitted accupoint pic

Not sure why guys are resisting making 1.5” scope height direct clamp rail options in both 1” and 30mm?, would be a whole lot less fafo than going this route to get tougher than Talley but same height. So many stock tikkas running around it seems a huge miss to me...🤷‍♂️

A t084 or 48 in 1.5” height I’ll take half dozen of each right now, 3-9’s and lpvo’s and factory stock perfect zero fafo...fackin tikka-isms

If you want the best rail for a tikka and don’t need inclination the factory one is undoubtedly the best
I don't think the factory one even uses a recoil lug though, does it? For mine I went with an Area419 rail using Loctite 380 Black Max and Loctite 243.

The one I see has two recoil pins and 5 mounting screws. There’s also a stainless version and a 20 MOA version.

That an improvement but I'd still take the Area419 over it in a heartbeat, even if they were the same price. Just helps that the Area419 is about half as much. It uses a larger recoil lug (not recoil pins like the Beretta one seems to use), is 20MOA, and all the edges are rounded off which is a nice quality of life improvement.

The best tikka rail I have is made by Richard NEAR. Stress relieved stainless steel with an integral pin.

It weighs about 3x what the A419 rails do.

My go-to remains A419 for the weight savings.

NEAR's Sako rails are an absolute work of art, as is his Alphahunter direct mount.
