Most guys I know who have real grit don’t talk about how tough they are, or how weak others are. I’d prefer shows about the hunt, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy a good “motivational” hunting video though.

I like to see guys pluck a critter out of high pressure areas with consistency. My hat is off to those guys. We complain about ATVS and wolves and yet 1500 yards away some guy just killed his 11th bull in 10 years in that area "riddled with ATV'S, wolves and lacking any critters."

No offense to the sheep hunters, but if you can dump 50k on a hunt, you can probably afford a sitter to make it to the gym a lot easier than the guy scratching together the special hunt application fees in his home state.

A man that can drive a Prius daily doesn't need to prove anything to anybody. Strap that deer to the roof, and roll on.

Western hunting can be hard. But damn, some of these hunting videos want you to believe they are climbing Everest.... gets old.

Tell me about the hunt, not about how tough you are.
haha... amen!

talk about how many vertical feet they ascended and descended more than the encounters they had with critters 😆

you know there ain't no critters strapped to a prius;) the only deer or elk blood that's ever been on a prius was a collision with said animal.

one main problem heading west in a prius is getting 2 months off to hunt, one month of travel, and one to hunt

I mostly hunt alone but there's one guy I go with......

He acts out the whole "tough, grit, tactical advantage, dig deep brother, this is going the extra mile" so much that I'm sure I spook game from laughing my ass off.

Last time this happened we're sauntering along a slight incline, see a few fork horn mulies over a rise and I get an earful of "I don't know if you have what it takes to rise to the level of core fitness, this is where you dig deep, what the F are you made of?" Good entertainment.

Hahahaha. I don't really watch any hunting videos, because I just don't get most of it. But THAT does sound hilarious. I'll have to remember that for the next time I go with one friend in particular......

Just plain ol’ normal elk hunting.
