I don’t mind a guy reminding me how tough he is every other podcast or so, but some definitely overplay the macho thing. I can find a small amount of manly boasting to be motivational when coming from someone that seems genuine.

Ive been noticing how ridiculous some of the titles for hunting videos are. Its always something like “Rough Country Toughest Above 11000 Feet Hunt for Mega Giant Bucks”.
Lmao. "Mega Giant Bucks." It's so true though.

you know there ain't no critters strapped to a prius;) the only deer or elk blood that's ever been on a prius was a collision with said animal.

one main problem heading west in a prius is getting 2 months off to hunt, one month of travel, and one to hunt
Fireflys and electric eels....

Western hunting can be hard. But damn, some of these hunting videos want you to believe they are climbing Everest.... gets old.

Tell me about the hunt, not about how tough you are.
I took my in-laws, three young kids, and wife to a shitty hibachi grill in eastern Washington tonight. Would’ve gladly video-taped it if I knew folks were into suffering 🤣.

Thanks for stirring the post with a nice observation on the “top this” photos. Ruins the hunt.

I will blame the social media world for most of this. Kinda like someone talking about how rich they are. Rich people do not need to talk about it. True hardcore individuals do not have a podium where they tell people. They are the ones pushing through situations with no cameras rolling. I do get a kick out of some of the BS out there. Some would play great on the comedy channel.

Yea that mountain hunting is only for the toughest of manly men. If you can't do 50 consecutive one legged pistol squats then may as well stick to the truck and road hunt :p.

My wife came on a mission into the tops from sea level. She carried the 2 year old. At 24 weeks pregnant.

I think the sign says 547 meters. Easily 2000 ft gained considering how the trail goes.

Actually shot a half decent stag just off her right shoulder In the open area right on dark and couldn’t retrieve it. Its an unbelievable hell hole and I had a ferry to catch a 7am the next day.

Either way grinding out the elevation is fun, I just hate packing meat out.

To the above poster. That’s so sweet! I just showed my girls and they are impressed!!

Dang, I took my 62 year old 295 lb Dad on a hike in goat hunt last year. I’ll have to let him know he qualifies to be a navy seal. Who’d a thunk it, Pa a frogman?

I can’t like any savage, let alone an axis. HahaView attachment 152489

Those shorts have BadAss written all over them

Watched a video the other day where dude says, "Against our better judgement we are going to pack this cow out in one trip. Prolly regret it, but don't want to come back." Ya, couple healthy young men doing their thing. They seemed no worse for the wear.
