i used wac em on my last elk / shot it at 25 yards / with my wife's bow, 55 lbs / killed a 6x8 bull, but every blade on the wac en broke or sheared off // no more wac em's for me //i am shooting shuttle t, they have solid blades .040 thick /wac em's are vented blades .027 thick // they need to make them thicker

I have used the snuffer broadhead for what seems like forever. Used them with my recurve while living in Ohio and they were deadly. used them this year here in Wyoming but didn't get to try them out. :-( Planning on trying something different and going with the Grim Reaper 1 3/8. Talked to some guys who have used them and shot plenty of animals. They gave me some tips and I researched the design a little. I am impressed enough to think it is worth a try.

Trust me I am not one to go for the latest thing in archery. It hurt for me to go to a compound and it was mad worse by using one of those (it hurts to say it) drop away rests..... But seemed to be reliable enough like they may stick around a while.

Everyone has a story of where they were great or they were the worst thing in the world. I think a lot of it has to do with attention to detail. Are they too loose? Are they too tight? Is there dirt? So I think I will try it. And if I loose an animal because of it, I am sure I will be one of those guys saying "I will never use them again".. till I do....

I shoot 210 grain fixed blade German Kendrick Silver Flames. They are not cheap but never had an issue with them. Fly true and sharp as can be right out of the package.

After going through and reading this whole thread, I may have to give the wacems a try, or possibly the nap hellrazers

Aron did you use the Ulmer's on any elk this year? If so how did they perform?
