Agreed, the Mtn tracker LR, should be a totally different name, there are no similarities between the two other than arca/Pic rails.
I remember when they first came out and they both had a different name, Mountaineer and mountaineer LR if I remember correctly. Then a couple months after release the names changed 🤷

@khuber84, do you know what weight your stock finished at? I’m considering getting one of these to replace my EH1 on my BAT Vesper 338 NMI.

It already weighs +11# so I don’t want to add a lot of weight to it.

32oz for my painted unit. Got a Banded Carbon for the wifes rifle, it's 29oz. Paint is heavy?! Or it's different fill. Both weights are bedded with pillars. Do have a couple more on order to replace a few game warden LR and a pro hunter on rifles. Forged carbon color.

Interested in this and seeing what people get for weight on these as more show up. On the website it says the molded in colors will weigh more than painted.

Can the arca rail be removed? I looks like a pretty inconvenient spot for carrying the rifle and I don’t use arca anyways

What did you end up doing for optics/rings?

I’ve got a maven 1.2 for mine and a set of warne mt lows. They fit well with the barreled action but wondering if they will be too low with the negative comb like I’ve seen people discussing with the rokstoks

Triji 3-18x44 tenmile, NF ultralite 1.250 rings. Nice and light.

So highs for best sight picture? Well damn. Guess we’ll see how the lows sit and go from there
The negative comb, and my preferred upright jaw weld shooting position prob contributes to this. I usually run 1.5" tall mounts on my match rifles. That just looked ridiculous with a light palma barrel tho.

You should be alright, I use lows on the gw LR which isnt as aggressive in the negative comb, but even if it was id still have a good sight picture.

Did you get your order in for the Mt LR? If so did they tell you what the expected turn around was? I forgot to ask when I ordered mine.

I did. They said roughly 2-3 months for the painted version an additional ~1-2 months for the exposed carbon or molded in colors.

I’ll be placing an order soon for my 300 PRC. Still undecided on color. McMillan mentioned 3 month lead time as well.
