Has anyone had limb issues with only a 70lb draw? Or is it just 80lbs? Any idea if it was just a bad batch?

Little late, but yes.

Been 35 days now, he's still shooting it, has the new limbs but it's shooting so well he hasn't wanted to touch it. It was the first bow to show up, I'd venture he has 7-8k shots on it at minimum.

These delaminations suck, I had a set on a TRX do it 2 or 3 years ago, shot it at least another 1k shots because I didn't want to touch it.

If it happens before a hunt, put some super glue on it. These aren't catastrophic, it's not changing the tune, they still work as they are supposed to.

It still sucks balls. I have an early bow that I'm assuming I'll see it on, have a whole lot of shots on it and they haven't showed up yet. It shoots good enough I hate to say it but I don't really care. I know it will be replaced, and I know it doesn't keep me from shooting it.

Dartons are having a bunch of issues with same thing and my understanding is they are using the same manufacturer for the limbs.

I personally feel like Mathew's has tried to tackle these issues head on with the new limb warranty, when similar issues have come up with other manufacturers and they ignore it. But I might be biased, their bows work really well for me.

Way late, but yes. Jumped on all these threads today after having my limbs go at full draw. Heard a crack, let down immediately and inspected the bow. The top right limb split clearly. It’s a Lift 33, at 70# and a 30” draw length. I didn’t fill out the registration for the warranty in time. I’m hoping since I’m the Original owner of less than 4 months, and Mathews has acknowledged the Lift having issues, I won’t have to pay out of pocket for this BS. We will find out after Christmas. Thanks. Do you have any idea how long it should take Mathews to warranty the limbs?
I think mathews gets the limbs to the shop fairly quick depends on how quick the shop will get them swapped. So far my lift 33 has been solid and I bought it nov 30th 2023 with a ton of shots through it. 70/30 as well.

The guy at the bow shop said Mathews might want to look at the whole bow, he didn’t know. I’m sure they will just send limbs like you said.
I’m actually going to change mods from 70# 85% to 75# 80% letoff, so hopefully there won’t be any further limb issues.

Has anyone seen these limb issues on the Phase 4? I was so close to pulling trigger on one a while back, but I didn’t know how I felt about 8 Limbs connected with rubber…now this with Lift limbs.
I had to have mine replaced on my phase 4. Its 70# 31.5 draw length.

The main problem was with last years lift at higher draw weights. And even in the very small chance you have an issue, Mathews with fix is asap. I’ve had the lift x 29.5. For 3 months and put over 4000 arrows through it so far. Still as pretty and powerful as the day I bought it.

Everyone at the pro shop told me there was a TINY chance of a limb failure, before I actually purchased my lift. “No doubt you would ever have to warranty it” were the exact words they used. 5 months and a few thousand arrows through it, they cracked and made a noise when they went out. 70 pounds. I was super upset, mostly because I couldn’t shoot my bow anymore, and didn’t have a backup.
I’m sure as you know, Mathews acknowledged the problem with their lift and claimed to have a fix. Mathews and my local pro shop took care of it fast, and I’ve been consistently shooting 100 arrows per day, since mid January. the same lift at 75 pounds and 30” draw length. It’s got a few thousand arrows through it now, and no problems at all. I certainly don’t regret buying my lift, I love it.

The issue wasn’t just higher pounds, it was across the spectrum.

Like others, I had a limb split with very little use. The replacement was done in about a week. I’ve shot that bow to death and haven’t had another issue. Even bought a second Lift. No issues with it yet. Don’t know when the second one was manufactured; before or after the fix.

We probably all know the replacements are the same limbs as the current Lift X has. If you wanted the new tuning feature and didn’t mind coughing up the cash, you can buy a set and turn your Lift into a X.
