Backup Rifles are extremely common, and have less chance of failure compared to bows. Problem is, most people end up with $2,500+ into a new bow setup and don't want to spend that on a backup bow. I get that.But there's plenty of $600-800 V3, v3x etc to buy as a backup bow. Thankfully a 1 week turnaround isn't that bad.
