Just received a tikka superlite .243 win with the updated 8 twist barrel. For the guys who have been loading for this particular rifle, what bullets are you finding that the 8 twist likes? I was going to try 108 eldm first then move onto 103 eldx or 95 TMK next if the 108’s don’t pan out. The two powders I have on hand are H4831sc and Staball 6.5.

Interested in this myself. Just started with my 243. Loaded 103ELDM with 39grains H4350. Around an inch. Sorry, that's the only powder i have on hand for it.

I bought a box of 108s the other day so will be toying with those too. Will post results.

My attempts with 95gn Nosler left a lot to be desired but like i said, I'm just starting.

I know a few guys that are successfully using 42gr of H4350 with the 108gr ELDM's seated at 2.80" in the 1:8" barrels, but I don't know anybody that has the Superlite. I also want to try some H1000 loads as well.

Just a warning, H4350 will eat up barrel life. Slower, cooler burning powders will drastically improve the life of your .243s. My friend and I are well versed in the ways of the kung243foo.

We are stuck on H1000. My ES is usually under 5fps. My buddy and I both shoot 105s. He shoots the Berger Hybrid and I shoot the 105 A-max. Both 8 twist Krieger barrels.

Okay I just had a Mcgowen 1-8 spun up on a M70 PF, I was pretty set on trying H4350 with a 108eldm. I have H1000 maybe I’ll give that a shot as well see if it shoots.

I run 3050fps with a 25” barrel. I have been up to 3150, but it was very compressed.

My new superlight absolutely hated factory precision hunter 95 eldm I tried loading some with 4895 and 4831sc still was only around 2.5” group.

I had some factory fusion on hand tried it and it was well under 1” so I knew the gun could shoot. I tried the federal loaded with 95 bergers and it shot well so I picked up a case and a box of just bullets to find a load. I also grabbed a bottle of h 4350 and it shot at least as well maybe better than the factory so I know I’m good to go with the rifle.

I picked up some 105 eldm bullets so I can play with them this winter.

the load data on H4831sc seems conflicting. My hornady app has the max load for 108 eldm at 47.1 gr.-2900FPS with a 24” barrel. Hodgdon has the max load at 44.7C with standard H4831 and a velocity of 3014FPS with a 24” tube. So H4831SC can fit 2.4 grains more in the case without compressing?

With better brass you probably could go up an extra half or full grain but this stuff is just shitty federal 308 necked down and I have a bucket full of it and it stays where it lands
Yeah i have some Hornady brass I want to get through, so that load is what I roughly imagined running until it’s time for newer better brass
