Rebarreling my custom Savage- - 22 Creedmoor?

Years ago I developed a wildcat round based on a standard .473 bolt face. This Savage Axis was the original action for the first test shots with it, so once all the testing was done I built it up with some better parts. Even though its just an Axis action, the bolt upgrades, stock and timney trigger really makes it pretty sweet. I'm over my wildcat for now (358 Yeti) and want to throw something new in the action.

After some thoughts, I'm leaning towards a 16.5" 22 Creedmoor. I've got a buddy that turns great barrels and has X-caliber 5r7 and 5r8 blanks on hand. Leaning towards a 16.5" 1:8, but I'm open to other suggestions for this as well. My current bolt gun loadout is 243, 7mm-08, and 7mm Rem Mag.
