I saw another post from a feller who has been applying for 30 years without drawing in Washington. I was just curious if anyones got this beat? So what's the longest you have applied for a particular hunt or unit without drawing?

I went 7 yrs on a duck hunting permit once. At 3 since drawing it.

Started applying out west too late in the game to even consider the 20+ yr, long haul-type hunts. We have WT deer or turkey hunts down here pushing 10 yrs. Nuts.

Haven’t drawn any type of controlled hunt in Idaho since 2006. Only two successful draws since i started in 1993. Both were super high odds hunts

This year, with maximum bonus points on all species, it was my:
36th year of unsuccessfully drawing a Montana resident moose tag,
42 years of unsuccessfully drawing a Montana resident sheep tag,
and 47th year of unsuccessfully drawing a Montana resident goat tag.
Ugh, this doesn’t give me much hope as a NR with 20 points each.

Im at 30 for OK elk, yes we have elk....
I'm at 19 or 20 myself. I would expect you to draw soon with the way Oklahoma separated the elk draw into two groups.
Folks with 20+ points are put into a separate draw with the purpose of trying to get those guys drawn before they get to old.
At least that's the way I understand it.
