Not a bad read. Thanks for posting. The parenting book made me chuckle a bit.

By the time Rinella’s group reached the dead deer, the sky had gone dark enough to see the first stars. An inner circle of hunters flanked by cameramen stood around the buck, which was lying on its side in the back of a pickup truck. “He’s thin, man,” Rinella said, running his hand down the buck’s rib cage the way you’d pet a sleeping dog. Illuminated by the headlights of two pickup trucks, the hunters pulled the deer’s body down into the dirt and deftly slit open its underbelly from anus to sternum. After slicing through the muscle, Newcomb tugged the innards out, extracting the heart, a fistful of maroon-colored flesh ragged on one side where the bullet went through.
Article mentions Don Jr going after Meateater. I couldn’t find anything. Anyone know what this writer is talking about?

Well duh, it was right in front of my face lol.
I haven't read the article, but like him or not, Rinella has done a lot of good for hunting IMO. However, there is plenty that Meateater has done/posted (Putellis) that I think is total crap.
The Field Ethos guys are an interesting group. They promote themselves as the total opposite of meat eater. They act with a ton of bravado and machismo and honestly it's a little obnoxious as well. I liked them originally but his crap gets real old real quick too. Like anything else with social media these days, take it all with a grain of salt.
Anything in particular? However, there is plenty that Meateater has done/posted (Putellis) that I think is total crap.
Curious to hear this as well - I know some Meateater guys let their personal political views shine through more than others, and Janis is definitely one of them. My guess is that's all he was referring to.Anything in particular?
