If you like savages, a lightweight storm with some easy mods will get you damned light, and inexpensively. I have one in 7mm-08 that I trimmed up the stock and changed the bolt handle and recoil pad. Mounted with a 3-9 VXii, it's 5 lbs 14oz

What bolt handle and recoil pad did you put on it it? Where did you trim on the stock? Can you add a picture with the final set up? Thanks!

CA ridgeline FFT in a 300 WM w/ a Trijicon 3-18 Tenmile, Hawkins Precision UL rings. 7lbs 10oz. Scope is not the lightest option, could probably trim a poundish with lighter scope and rings, and a shorter action.

That is my exact set up, except mine is a 280 AI. Same scope and rings, I didnt know how much it weighed tho, so thanks for the post :). I think our barrels are the same length…

The bolt knob is carbon, and I think I got it from Tactical Works. I took it off because it was a little too big for my liking, let me know if you'd want itView attachment 491417View attachment 491418

A flip flop or Microcell might be even lighter.

Couldn't find a full photo post paint, but it was just under 6lbs with a 3-9 vx2

Thank you for the additional info. Looks like you did a great job cutting that stock down.
