Lighter recoiling elk rifle

I shoot a 7mm-08.

Its worked very well on elk, bear, and deer. Very manageable recoil. I now handload but have also shot factory 139 gr hornady whitetail ammo and they shoot great. I've taken a number of deer and 2 bears with the hornady's and I would not hesitate to use them on elk.

What kind of groups are you getting here and at what distances? Thank You!

Thanks for the help guys. One question: why the 6cm over the 6.5 cm? They seem similar, u just have the possibility of using heavier bullets with the 6.5. Thanks again guys

With the increased velocity of the 6CM it has better terminal performance than the 6.5CM and with its lighter recoil it easier to shoot.

The increased velocity of the 6mm creed also plays nicer with shorter barrels better suited for a suppressor
