Lever Action anyone?

Rugers always been one to toss out random calibers and whatnot. Wouldnt surprise me to see a 444 or anything else get turned out one of these days.

I get the feeling that Marlin (Ruger) isn’t interested in adding new or less common cartridges. The reason I say that is I’ve read somewhere that the 444 Marlin will not be brought back. That’s unfortunate because this one is excellent and in my opinion much better than the 45-70.
The whole purpose of the 444 was to replace the 45-70 as brass wasn’t available. Now the 45-70 is more popular again. They are so close in performance, the only reason to go with the 444 is its slight better for lighter sonic loads. The 45-70 is far more versatile.

Also ruger just make a 1894 in 10mm. So they obviously are not against doing something new. The 360 bh would simply require taking the 30-30 action and fitting a 35 cal barrel instead of 30. If I could find someone to make a barrel and do the swap I would do it myself.

I saw they released a take down version now. I'm tempted.

I think I'd get it in 460 just because I suppress everything and I have a 46 cal suppressor. And no one makes a 50 cal suppressor without rating it for 50bmg and it being way to big.
A 460 with a 18 inch barrel and fiber front sight will be my next rifle.

Just a heads up, if you buy a bighorn and go to shoot factory ammo.. re crimp the rounds. They are meant to be shot out of a revolver so once you start loading up a full tube magazine they can push the bullets into the cases of some factory rounds

After a total of about an hour on the stand, I have Two more does down with my 45/70 XLR. First one ran about 75 yards and the second dropped on the spot (I don’t have a photo of the second).
