I started reading this thread and ended up buying my first ever watch that cost more than 20 bucks.

I got this for $129 at Jomashop.




It suits my needs as being simple and easy to maintain with the ECODRIVE.

A regular ol field watch done right is excellent. Functional and looks good. The eco drives can take a beating and last forever

Have enjoyed this thread and realized I don’t know s#@t about watches. I have a Tag, Apple Watch and just picked up this EcoDrive as a result of the thread. I intend to wear the Citizen daily and Tag for dress up.

I would personally say.
Wear the watches. Saving them for a special occasion is kinda silly. They are all made to be worn so enjoy them.

These are great!

I like the look of a "field watch" as much as anybody, but as someone who works "in the field" I can't find anything better than this. One of my coworkers wears one that he bought in 1987. It's on its second battery.

It looks good with most outfits/uniforms. It looks more professional than most other digital watches. It's cheap enough that I won't be crushed when it eventually gets tree marking paint on it or gets scratched up badly.

My Timex Ironman is a little more accurate but is a little too sporty-looking for my tastes.

If I worked indoors all day I'd go with something different. In the $200 range, I've always admired the cheap Seiko automatics and some of the Citizen Eco-Drives.

I don't have personal ownership experience, but the ones I've seen look great and I've heard nothing but good things about the Tissot PRXs from owners.

I’m back lol, Called my ad yesterday. Told em I wanted a new explorer lol. Went and picked it up today. Guess I’m just stuck in my ways….

Pretty funny too. No wait list, no bs. Prolly helps I spent a ton of money there, but he said sure come get one so I did this morning. Asked if I wanted anything else an said not now. Let’s see what comes out Monday but I doubt anything. Been really consolidating my collection and just stacking money instead of watches
