-vertical grip
-sports match rings
-shave 3-10 scope
-limbsaver recoil pad
-mtn gear pic real (not in the picture)
-high desert bottom metal

-TBAC ultra 7, SiCo scythe

This is my "easy button semi-custom".
Tikka T3x Lite SS started as 243win 1-10 twist. I put a Preferred prefit on it chambered in 6 creedmoor, 18" for suppressor.
Hogged out the barrel channel for plenty of clearance and put a Tikka vertical grip on it.

Shooting the 108 eldms at 2825fps.

Hard to answer that. When I got my first t3x I was given a vertical grip. I just sort of started using them, now I have them on all my tikkas, I personally think they feel better but I havnt tried one without the vertical grip for a few years now.

How much does your scythe seem to tame the recoil on your '06? Would it be comparable to a 6.5cm?

Yeah that’s about the closest comparison I can make with the rifles I have. I’m not quite able to fully spot every shot but it’s pleasant to shoot.

I shot 2 caribou with it last spring and was able to watch them drop but couldn’t see the bullet impact.

Very nice, I love the paint.
How much does your NRL gun weigh?
Thanks! Rattle canned with the camo stuff.

It’s 11lb 4 oz plus the Scythe. Doesn’t allow for a bipod which is fine by me, after my indoctrination at S2hU. Folks underestimate how heavy these Veil / D18 / Roughtech barrels are.

That looks like a primo budget nrl setup especially for someone who’s already got an extra bravo laying around. Does it shoot tight?

Has anyone tried to 3d print or talked to anyone in the industry about making a more vertical VG for tikka stocks? I feel like that would be a cool option to shorten trigger pull etc

I'd like to see someone try it w a 3D printer. I'm guessing the grip might get a little too thick to be able to comfortably put the thumb up on the tang or wrap it around if the grip is made more vertical.

I've thought of using that air epoxy stuff to make a vertical grip on a laminate stock I have, but the potential grip thickness and thumb placement has prevented me from trying it.

I've made my own using the factory sporter grip, a chunk of 1/2" uhmw plastic, some water putty, and a farriers rasp. It works great... but probably more work than most would want to do.20240729_173541.jpg

For something modular like the t3x grips I'd imagine a company could capitalize and make a small variety for a drop in replacement. No difference between a new grip.on an AR IMHO.

Tikka t3x ss 6.5cm, cut to 16”, 1/2x28 thread, cerakote, recoil pad, trigger spring, Lumley bolt handle, vertical grip. Topped with a 2.5-15x credo & harvester evo. First 15 shots with factory 140 eld-m’s once boresighted need to measure but I think it was around 12 shots in 1.4 inches, I’ll take it
