Hi All,
So I made the mistake of getting some hands on time with a Blaser Pro, and have to say, I'm into it. This said I'm always looking at other options and wanted to hear experience from Beretta owners as far as reliability, accuracy, and quality go. I did a search and only seemed to come up with a mention of it here and there, and a thread about some ejection issues, but nothing comprehensive. Seems like an interesting design that incorporates many features that the Blaser possesses.

Look forward to hearing what you all have to contribute.

I looked at these as I am also a fan of the R8 and might be getting one here in the near future. I think I am still going to go with the R8 mainly because this is going to be a suppressor host and the R8 is a much shorter package due to the magazine being directly over the trigger as opposed to in front of the trigger, I’ve heard it’s a good 2 1/2 to 3 inches shorter overall. I feel like if you’re gonna go straight pull you just gotta get a Blaser 😂.

That's where I'm somewhat leaning as well, and the fact the fact that if you go used, an r8 becomes a lot more attainable. I also really dug the trigger, very crispy haha.
I think the only other one worth looking at too would be the mauser m25, but the safety seemed a bit "meh"

I actually own a both a BRX 1 (.300 Win Mag and .308 barrels) and have a Blaser R8 chambered in .30-06 with a .375 H&H barrel on the way. I like them both for different reasons.

The Blaser clearly retains value better, has tighter tolerances, and feels slightly more refined overall. That said, the BRX1 holds its own very well—it’s versatile, accurate, and a great value, even with fewer barrel options currently available. Both shoot excellently, though the Blaser edges it out in my experience.

If I had to pick just one, I’d go with the R8 for the broader selection of calibers and accessories.

Never handled a blaser, they are kinda outa my buget. Own a beretta brx1 243 and like it alot. It's fully ambidextrous, very accurate, like taken coyotes at 360 yds accurate, light, fast, and light years ahead of the savage impulse train wreck. Ejects fine, id buy another... well I probably buy another tikka, but the beretta is a nice 1/2 to 3/4 moa hunting rifle.

This is somewhat what I expected to be the case, but it seems for the $1500 or so price of the brx1, it's for a sure a compelling package. If I go blaser I'd be looking for a used pro, which according to that shop, is somewhere in the low $3k range when they get them.

So for the extra $1700 in my context, what say you value wise?

That makes a brx1 all the more tempting, and it's just a cool system.

All this said, the practical choice is a 6 creed tikka.... decisions decisions

I think if you’re going to hunt North America and can accept the current caliber choices The BRX offers… for the price, you can’t beat a BRX. If however, you’re thinking about possibly going to Africa for dangerous game and want to go larger than the 300 win mag, I would save a little more money and wait and get the R8.
