Iv already got one cut for an m24 with a lite currently in it. Some think it’s ugly, but I like it. It’s nice to not have to worry about it.

More float is better than barely enough creating contact on flexing.

I’m debating between the Manners and a Grayboe Phoenix to replace my DIY inlet factory stock, so ugly was always going to be part of the equation.

There has been a number of guys not too happy with the grayboe. It’s a sister company to mcmillan and while I say my mcmillan stocks are nice, I just prefer manners all around.

The eh1 and their mini chassis for factory dbm is pretty awesome. I like the eh1 enough that I ordered another to replace another mcmillan.

Anyone else have a problem getting the Mountain Tactical Gen2 billet magazines to seat. I have a couple and they are difficult at best. I have to get a wooden dowel and knock one of them out from inside the action. The one pictured is brand new. Pretty obvious where it’s rubbing. Is everyone having to sand them down? Maybe tweak the retention spring ?

I’ve swapped different magazines and bottom metal (all MT Gen2) between two identical stocks. I’ll see what they suggest Monday.

Something is out of spec then. Iv got the same setup and have no problem. I’d guess either the mag or bottom metal is out of spec
Do you have the mini chassis? I think that’s the problem. The back of the mag digs into the chassis.

I do. Fits no problem in my 223. Factory, MT and waters mags have all worked fine.

I can check my short action MT mags when I get home but it won’t be till Monday

You can see the shiny spots in the 2nd picture where it’s rubbing

Strange I don’t think it should be going back that far. Was everything seated correctly? The manners mini chassis is pretty tight on the action so getting it on the lug correctly takes a bit.

I’ll check my short action mag when I get home Monday, but my 223 gen 2 MT mags fit just fine. I wonder if you have an out of spec mag

For those of you running fluted bolts are you liking six, eight or vortex fluting better? I realize it's cosmetic but do you find one versus the other creating more drag?

I got the wrought iron and love the look. It saved me 0.4 oz. I didn't do it for the weight savings. I wanted the look of it.

What round are you running out of your MT mag? I finally picked up my 200 WSM and the long action mag doesn't work. I either need to get a different mag or block the one I have.

223. I have a bunch of SA MT mags but havnt used them in a manners mini chassis. I don’t see a difference in dimensions though it my other stocks between the 223 and short action.

Are your rounds too long to fit? Or the mags don’t fit?

Rounds are too short for the mag. They dont want to get picked up if I push them all the way to the back of the mag.
