Which form 1 suppressor did you go with? How do you like it?
I’d be really really careful going the form 1 route right now.

Yeah I love it, short wait, turned out to be an awesome suppressor. But the last week the form one community pretty much came to a standstill with some atf bs. Right now I’d recommend doing a form 4. Check out diligent defense enticer s-ti, that’s next on my list since form 1 is dead.

No relief cut necessary. The Wheeler action wrench bolts were torqued way down, so had to put that in my bench vise to break them free so I could flip the upper portion. But once I got this set up and torqued down tightly in the barrel vise, two whacks with a rubber mallet on the action wrench and it spun free.

This has been discussed before.
One of the biggest mistakes people make in trying to remove tikka factory barrels is putting to much pressure on the action wrench bolts and compressing the barrel/action threads locking them to each other.
If you keep the wrench just snug enough to keep the action from moving and possibly marring in the jaws it makes it a lot easier to spin off .

Yeah, I had tried using a 5” bench vise with aluminum barrel inserts, but it kept spinning, so took the plunge on Wheeler tools when they had their sale. I was surprised at how easy it was, but that’s what you get for using the right tool for the job. 😜
Next is to put on my new .260 Rem barrel, hopefully today, if I get a break from work and meetings.

Simple and inexpensive build I just finished. Factory Veil Wideland .270 Win that I put into a Bell and Carlson stock and Cerakoted bolt, bolt handle and rings with Midnight Bronze. Shooting 150 SSTs at 3k with RL26 and man does it shoot good!

This is one round from 250,300,350,450 and 500 use a Snipe-pod and a Leupold B&C reticle.

Can't complain about those results. Nice touch with the cerakote, definitely compliments the rest of the gun.

Mike at HCA has ordered a custom reamer for my upcoming build

Stainless T3x, lefty, LA
284 Winchester long throated
22” HCA Summit profile carbon barrel, thread 5/8x24 w/ Mike’s recommended self timing brake. (The threads will be cut to time a Deadair Keymo for suppressor use)
HCA bottom metal
Fluted bolt
Area 419 pic rail
Vortex matched 35mm rings
Leupold Mark5 HD 3.6-18
Anarchy swept bolt and CF knob.

Mesa Precision or AG Alpine hunter ( wish I could get a thinner palm swell and a vertical grip than both these stocks offer)
Cerakote and stock color TBD ( top of the list something bold. Maybe an orange camo )

No pics since the build has just entered it’s paperwork stage. Will for sure post when the rifle is done 8-9 months. ( More time to find more Tikka’s to build )

Dropped my action into a hnt26 chassis. Dropped 10oz over my Mesa Altitude + Grayboe dbm combo. Will be 7 lbs 10 oz when the SWFA scope gets mounted.

The hnt26 chassis is 28oz on its own (folder) compared to 38oz for the Mesa + DBM.
