Why wouldn't you just buy another bolt and spin on a 6mm barrel better suited for PRS competitions? When hunting season rolls in, swap everything back to the 300wm.

I can think of 2 reasons:
- A dedicated gaming rifle would likely want a heavier stock/chassis
- It's a hassle to re-zero every time you swap barrels. If range trip time is limited, it's nice to shoot your various rifles in a single trip without having to deal with swapping barrels / re-zeroing.
