What'd the bare stock tip the scales at? 32oz would be pretty cool if true. I recently got a Manners EHT with an ultralight decel pad that was 30oz bare, so it's hard to imagine a stock with the features of the phoenix actually weighing 32oz.
If I remembered right it is 30oz with the allen head screw for the stock adjust thingy rather than the rubber hand grip, and I have all the spacers removed because the goal is for this to be a recoil free practice gun for my wife and the nephews.

Wow, that's impressive. What's the LOP with the spacer setup you have pictured?

I dunno! The nice part of working from home is I can check.

From the butt to the trigger face is 12.75ish"

I forgot! I had to cut out a little on each side of the magazine lever for the pin that holds it together to fit in there. Maybe 1/8" on each side. I have the lumley one and haven't dug out the factory bottom I have to see if those pins are the same length or not. Other than that, I put it in and torqued to 65inlb. The level was actually spot on with my pic rail, I expected it to not be and had considered it a gimmick. It is actually pretty handy.

That’s an awesome setup. Wish they still cut the EH1 for tikka. They have their new stock out now so I’ll have to check it out.
They stopped doing the eh1 initially due to needing to build up the tang. This year they came out with a new eh1 mold specifically for tikka, along with a new factory plastic and ctr mini chassis.

I have seekins low rings and will probably switch to some Warne mountain low. I sort of have to scrunch down a little to get the best view. There's a bit of play laying the action in similar to a factory T3 stock, a bit more than the BC stock.

Everything worked as it should and putting the 22BR barrel on put it a few inches from the aiming point that the 25-06 barrel was at.

I did mar the bluing on the new barrel, but it doesn't bother me and I will touch that up.
I’m curious what you think of 22br after a while.

I don’t think I’ll bite on the greyboe stock after manners put out the tikka eh1. I wanted one for my t1, but by the time the manners arrives and I sell a mcmillan I’ll probably be out money.

I'm still waiting on my build from Hells Canyon Armory. I sent Mike an email a few minutes ago asking for a status. I paid my invoice in full at the end of March and he has my barreled action. I think my last two emails went unanswered.
Whoa. Full payment in March and nary an update in 8 months?

I think I’d be on the phone, ASAP

Haven't torqued the barrel up yet as I need to find a gunsmith to throat it for longer bullets. Scope came in Monday, but its too close to the barrel for caps even with Hawkins highs.

What color Cerakote should I go with on the barrel ends and the action?

T3X Lite Alpine Veil action from JA outdoors
18" 7SAUM Carbon6 Prefit
Grayboe Phoenix in Desert Sage
Mt Tac factory bottom metal
Lumley bolt handle/knob/shroud
Salmon River Solutions 4" MLOK ARCA Plate
Hawkins Hybrid 25MOA Rings
Vortex Razor LHT FFP MOA

8.5lbs scoped, 3rds loaded. Will be just over 9lbs with a suppressor

I'm looking to switch out the Hawkins rings for a Spuhr SCT-3006 for the recoil lug and use the integrated dovetail and a little more height.

Take it to LRI for patriot brown on the action with a black bolt, have them throat it, grab an area 419 rail and buy my arc rings

Here’s an idea of what medium arc rings and a area 419 rail looks like with a 50mm obj scope, on a meaty barrel, with aadland caps.

You have already sold me on the Spuhr mount so unless you want to part with that...

I've seen your Patriot Brown, but I think I'm leaning towards one of the blacks like Graphite.

Multicam dark gray or carbon gray.

I am cheap and would just get a butler creek cap and shave off the bottom til you have the desired clearance.

I'll check those colors out. Thanks.

I'm not opposed to going higher with my scope since my cheekpiece is adjustable.

Quick question that I am sure some people in this thread will know the answer to . . .

Which Tikka donor action is best for a 33 Nosler? It's case head is .534" that matches the WSM heads, but it's a standard long action like a 7 rem mag or 300 win mag that have a .532" case head. Should I look for a WSM and change the bolt stop or will the .002" case head difference be too small to worry about coming from a 7 RM or 300 WM?

I promise to pay back this thread when it's all put together. Barrel and suppressor are purchased and I may have them mid 2022. This will be left handed.
- Mesa Precision Altitude Stock
- CarbonSix bull contour 22"
- Red Snake nEXTgen buttom metal
- AB Raptor 10 stack suppressor

I’d go with a WSM donor and modify the bolt stop. It’s very easy to do with a Zip disk and a file or just purchase a LA bolt stop and be done. Have fun with the build!

The 300 win mag action (standard length with magnum bolt face) they are all the same. If you are going to burn factory ammo you don’t need to go with Red Snake unless you want to. The SAAMI COAL for the 33 Nosler is the same as that of the 300 win mag. I went with Red Snake on my 300 win mag because I/ want to play around with seating depth, just because. If you don’t handload, you can go to Mountain Tactical to replace the factory bottom metal which is plastic. Personally I don’t have a problem with the factory polymer mags. I really do like the Red Snake bottom metal and AICS magazines though.

Thanks for the input.

I will be hand loading and just think I'll get set up with the greatest flexibility from the beginning.

I'm looking at the same build. It's cheaper to buy a new tikka and throw the barrel away than anything remmington, even just an action.. What Smith did you go with?

I think it all depends. Used Tikkas are rare as hens teeth these days. Remington is starting to distribute M700 actions once again. Stainless T3X is going for $800...moly is $670 before tax. Nucleus, Tenacity and Origin actions are 900-1000. The nice thing about the T3x action is that you don’t need to do anything with the trigger. Some folks want a different trigger spring for target shooting. The 2lb. stock trigger is good enough for hunting IMO. The newer SS Tikka barrels chambered in .300 win mag with a 1:10” twist or 6.5 PRC that have a medium sporter contour are definitely in demand. If you want a carbon barrel you will need to replace the stock.

The choices for stocks, pre-fit barrels and bottom metal is somewhat limited for the Tikka action in comparison to the M700 base or custom actions. 300 win mag customized somewhat- upgraded:
