Let's See Your Semi-Custom Tikka Builds

Wasn't a pre fit its a chamberd blank. Went.120 fb which was .040 past saami
So it's a blank chambered in .22cm and you get a gunsmith to cut the tenon with threads and shoulder to headspace correctly? Am I understanding this correctly?

Yes sorry I didn't word it super clearly. IbI does offer a tikka shouldered prefit. This was not a pre fit but a .224 blank that I had machined by my gunsmith. Just selected shank diameter and contour.

10-4. Thanks. May I ask who does your gunsmithing in BC? Once I burn out my mediocre .243 barrel I'll be looking for someone to do some work for me.

I've used corlanes with good results although lead times can go little on the long side. This gun is my first from Gunsmoke in campbell river (I'm on the island) I won't have a chance to shoot for a couple days but so far happy with the level of work they did and will use them again.

Here's my semi-custom tikka CTR chambered in 6.5 Creed. I bought it with the intention of rebarreling it to a hot 6mm but the damned thing shoots so good i couldn't bring myself to going through with it.
I picked up a beat up Bell and Carlson stock in the classifieds for cheap and gave it a makeover, texturized the pistol grip, painted the stock with duracoat and used air cure cerakote on the barrel and action. With handloads I am pushing 140 ELD-Ms at 2840 with RL16.

PanhandlePilgrim nice rig and I’m envious of your velo. I’m not envious of lying prone in all those sharp rocks. I’m going seated with a glassing pad and tripod there. : )

The rocks weren't near as bad as the ticks! I was getting some velocity trued up and i was also shooting at ground squirrels at 500 yards so prone was a must.

Played around with my last remaining Element 4.0 and a Q FIX stock. The FIX has the lightest fully adjustable stock by a decent margin, even paired with the adapter. As you see this suppressed .308 fully configured without the bipod, it's bang on 9 pounds.

There are a few curiosities:
1) Min LOP 13.75" (14" if you don't remove the bolts)
2) The folder impinges on the wide Element body and can't come flat, though it barely exceeds the parallax turret in width.

I'll play with it and the relatively new-to-me Tricer this weekend.
