Do bilstein 6112s instead of the 3/1. Youll be glad you didI'm surprised there aren't more Tundras in here. No pictures yet, but I just picked up my new on Thursday. Flew from ND down to Denver and drove it back. Looking to do a 3/1 lift/leveling kit. Any suggestions?
I jokingly tell everyone I have the Randy Newberg starter kit... got my Sitka, mystery ranch pack, Howa and of course... a new Titan. But in all seriousness, I love this thing. No issues. Goes everywhere I want to. Tows my heavy a** camper. No gripes at all. (Coming from a guy that in the last 10 years has owned a Sierra, ram 1500 sport, ram 2500 slt, f150 fx4 and an Evo. I have a problem. Haha)

I had a 2004 first gen Titan. I put almost 280K miles on that truck, and would have felt confident driving it across the country the day I sold it. I never had a mechanical problem with it, just kept new tires on it, changed the oil and fluids. I did bust the radiator on a rock at one point, but that was my faultThe only issue I had with the old gen was that the interior wore out. Seats had holes in them, all the plastic parts were faded and looked bad. I have a Nissan Xterra now, and I have put 130k on it so far with the same track record.
Was thinking of doing the same thing with my 2016 z71 but not sure I could give up the backseat space for the car seats.Had a 2014 Silverado 1500 Ltz but the build quality was shit so I switched over to toyota. Silverado was 1000x more comfortable for the daily commute but that aside I like the Tacoma much more for woods activities especially.![]()
I may end up with another Silverado in a few years. I spend 3 hours a day commuting to/from work and the Chevy was way more comfortable, with similar fuel consumption. My brother has a 17 ltz z71 with the 6.2 and he regularly gets 22-24mpg.Was thinking of doing the same thing with my 2016 z71 but not sure I could give up the backseat space for the car seats.
