I had fun with my family this last year. My eight year old boy shot his first coyotes this year and also trapped a couple bobcats and coyotes on his own. I got to spend a few days buck hunting with a good friend and I also shot a bull while hunting with my mom and dad.
-First woodcock shot over my Brittany pup
-First antelope hunt for the wife and I
-First beaver trapped after a lot of lesson’s learned the year before
-An Ohio buck that reminded me to always shoot new broadheads BEFORE actually shooting at an animal
The one that started my addiction. First trip, first mule deer. And now here I am falling down the rabbit hole while my wife questions my financial decisions!
2021 was a year of how I didn’t do. Looking forward to a year of redemption.
Let this guy walk when I couldn’t get a clean shot at 40 yards:
And this is the closest I got to recovering a buck I shot a few days later. (walked up on him without a legal weapon several days after shooting him with my bow)
Busy year for me! Started off with a spot & stalk archery antelope, took home my first kid on September 15th (healthy happy boy), called in a bull a week later! Never found a deer worth hanging my tag on but am SUPER excited for this year! Doubt I’ll top the kid though!
