Little bit of a struggle for me last fall between passing stuff I shouldn’t have and recurve woes elk season, haha… tons of action and awesome encounters regardless, and I did manage to kill a pig blacktail and giant lion

Had a nice whitey sneak in behind me then circle and gave me a shot at 100 yards during rifle season .
Hit a limb

I looked for 3 hours and grid and circles with no sign of a hit, hunted that area 3 more days and never found the buck or birds..
A friend found him 6 days later about 500 yards away
This sucks but it does happen

On the great side Daughter shot a great buck hunting with her husband

Great pics of game, family and friends. I really enjoyed these. Some of the early ones of guys trapping and predator hunting were cool as an old trapper from Minnesota was good to see. Some of the later ones of a freezer full of meat and steaks on the grill made me hungry ! Thanks for sharing all. I have to admit some years I have done a poor job doing a "photo-journal " . This fall gonna try to do better.

Images from August and September last year...a hundred-mile remote 10-day fishing float and a 14-day remote drop moose hunt...

On my hunt I called a nice meat bull early in the hunt, which my hunting partner decided to take. I had fun calling-in a bunch of bulls close to camp over the course of the next week...

and eventually decided to take the one below...

I'm doing a repeat this year...I head back out into the field in two-weeks for the same float, and will do the same hunt in September. The best to everyone for an excellent adventure this year!

Ill never forget last year and I doubt she ever will , her first buck. She got her hands bloody and a heavy pack. She drew an antelope tag this year

I had an epic year last year. August I went to Alaska for a caribou. October I got an elk in New Mexico and my first child was born a couple weeks later. Rounded out the year with a cat in Colorado.
