Guys I know Im new here, but I would like to make a comment about these rifles. I have beed on the hunt for the perfect 280AI and thought that I had found it in the Legendary arms professional. So I found a dealer that has a 280AI in stock and luckily, he was a VERY honest guy. He said that he was in the process of sending the 280AI back to Legendary Arms for repair and that as soon as they were done with it he could have them drop ship it to my FFL. When I asked what was wrong with it, he said he was unsure if anything at all was wrong with it, but that he didn't want to take a chance. He said that he has sold four of the five guns that he got in and NONE were shooting MOA. He said he believes these guys are awesome and will get everything figured out soon. However, the first batch of these rifles are NOT something I would take a chance on. I DID MY RESEARCH HARD, and decided to go against it. I will order one in a couple years after more reviews are out. I ended up ordering a Kimber Montana in 280ai this morning, even though I think the Kimber is a little too light for me.
Also you might look at the TWO youtube videos CLOSLY and you will see the bolt Bind up on both videos. On one video it binds up really bad, especially for a $1700.00 gun.
I have NO hidden agenda, and can assure you I will order one in 280AI in a year or so after I know they have the issues worked out, but for now, its too dicey for me. Heck, it took everything I could do to order a Kimber Montana after reading all the horror stories, but I found a couple new for $999.00.
I figure at that price, I will have money to send it to the smith if I have a problem.

If anyone buys a Legendary arms and rolls the dice, PLEASE post back here on its accuracy , I still want one in a VERY bad kind of way....

?? WOW ! with all that "bad press" on Kimbers and you took a chance ? Maybe you should have chosen a Remington ? I've heard they never have any problems .....

Hey all you Tikka "lovers" have I got a story, no TWO stories for you ...... just kidding sorta - Ain't it "funny" how some folks will bad mouth a product based on hear say or better yet, because it's a "new" company, THAT gives me a chuckle - Montana Rifles has a whole entire thread on "poor customer service and lieing to customers" ... Winchester had bad spells spread through their history from 1965 to a couple of years ago ... Tikka T3x's are having a few bumps in the road, Kimber certainly has had enough rough road but appears to be all good now (I guess they only had the troubles when they were new, it's a good thing someone bought their crap or they might not be around now ... Remington, well I'll leave Mr Soros's company alone today ... And that shady character Melvin Forbes who tried to sell us knock offs - I chatted with the 2 guys who started LAW at the SCI expo last winter, ex military guys who OBVIOUSLY know a good bit about shooting and firearms and left a very positive impression on me, but then ... they're new so they must be shysters - Honestly, some of you guys should get over yourselves .......

My hunting partner bought a LAW Professional in 7mm Mag. Its getting 4 inch groups at 200 yards. Hes put probably $300 worth of ammo through it trying to get that thing to shoot.

I bought about $160 worth of 300wm ammo. Different hunting loads. I ran a few patches through the gun before I went to range. I stopped shooting half way through the ammo. Rifle started grouping OK but then not great and then it just opened up. I did some research and it seems you get a great shooter or one that needs a lot of attention to shoot well. I have read that some did an extensive cleaning before shooting. Others said that the break was not properly milled out. Im going to do a serious cleaning and then shoot it with out the break. I'll update on what happens to the gun.

I have a local gunsmith I will have look at the gun if I cant get it to shoot. I bought this for my Aug black bear hunt in Canada. Reviews have said these guns have been shipped back to LAW and have very long return times. I really don't want to get it stuck there.
